Foaming glass cleaners and a razor blade is the best option to remove paint from windows. Make sure you have paper towels, too.
If your space is covered by an awning or doesn't receive any direct rain, it lasts as long as you want it to. If your window is exposed to the elements, I have a seal that will extend the artworks time on the window.
Average time is within a few weeks for a window, but holidays tend to be longer. It's never too early to get on the schedule. I encourage you to make an appointment as soon as you want to.
